I work in philosophy of mind, primarily on memory. My main questions are: the status of causation in the ontology of memory; the (dis)continuism debate about episodic thought; the relationships of memory with other cognitive capacities like imagination and perception; the phenomenology of remembering; the semantics of episodic memory. More recently, I have initiated a work on the dynamics of memory.
I also work in philosophy of language, with a recent interest in the application of philosophical semantics to memory. AFFILIATIONS I am a Professor at the Philosophy Department at the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA). I'm also the director of the "Institut de Philosophie de Grenoble" (IPhiG, UGA: https://iphig.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/). Most of my current research work is carried out at the "Centre for Philosophy of Memory" (CPM, UGA: http://phil-mem.org/).
